Tenor Staff Singer
Background
St. Paul’s Church is undertaking a major expansion of its musical program under the patronage of Bishop Frank J. Caggiano. A new Choral Foundation is being established, and a comprehensive sacred-music initiative—centred on professional Men & Boys and Men & Girls choirs—will form an unparalleled model among U.S. Catholic parishes. This program aims to set a national standard for musical excellence, liturgical leadership, and youth formation.
Ahead of the chorister program’s launch, a mixed-voice professional ensemble of 8 singers sings for Sunday services. Owing to the future expansion of the music program, there is strong potential for long-term alto, tenor, and bass staff-singer roles.
Job Requirements
Staff Singers must possess excellent sight-reading skills and, preferably, experience with Gregorian chant. Staff Singers are not required to be Roman Catholic; however, they should be respectful of, the teachings, traditions, and liturgical life of the Roman Catholic Church.

12.45-2pm – Rehearsal (Post Mass)
Staff Singers may also choose to be on the cantor rotation, providing music for the Saturday 4:00 p.m. Mass, the Sunday 9:30 a.m. Mass, and the many weddings and funerals held throughout the year. All such services are paid separately.
